Basic Handgun Course
Basic Handgun Course Description:
This 5-hour Basic Handgun training course is designed to provide the new shooter concepts of handgun shooting. The primary focus will be on developing fundamentals of marksmanship, accuracy, loading/unloading magazines, safely clearing handguns, malfunctions clearance, and tactical/empty gun reloading techniques. Students will learn about their handgun, how to draw from the holster and holstering. The goal of this training is for the student to have the confidence and understanding to be a safe and effective shooter.
Prerequisites: None

Handgun 2 Course
Handgun 2 Course Description:
This 4-hour Handgun 2 course is designed to provide the new or experienced shooter with dynamic shooting techniques. The primary focus of this handgun training course will be on improved marksmanship at speed, shooting on the move, positional shooting, and shooting from cover. Students will also learn about multiple target engagements and shooting from a seated position. The goal of this training is for the student to have the confidence and understanding to be a better and more effective shooter.
Prerequisites: Handgun 1 or Military/Law-Enforcement experience

Every Day Carry Handgun Course (CCW)
Every Day Carry Handgun Course Description (CCW):
This 5-hour concealed carry handgun training class is designed to familiarized shooters with carrying, drawing/re-holstering, reloading, and shooting from a concealed holster. This course will cover concealed carry laws, use of physical force versus lethal force, prohibited places, and benefits of having a concealed weapon permit. The primary focus of the class will be on getting the shooter familiar with working from an inside the waistband holster and the development of efficient and effective fundamentals. This will include how to safely carry and utilize a concealed weapon, defensive posturing and positioning, and defensive shooting techniques. Upon completion of this course, students will receive a handgun safety training certificate required for the concealed weapons permit application. *Completing the required fingerprint cards will be the student’s responsibility *Submitting the DPS concealed weapons permit application will be the student’s responsibility
Prerequisites: Handgun 1 or Military/Law-Enforcement experience
Course topics covered:
- Concealed carry laws to include; prohibited places, difference between physical force and deadly force, and how to interact with law enforcement
- Benefits of having a concealed weapon permit
- Different types of inside the waistband holsters
- Other equipment considerations
- Drawing, holstering, and reloading from an inside the waistband holster and concealed magazine
- Defensive posturing and positioning
- Defensive shooting techniques
- Developing accuracy at speed

Low-Light Handgun Course
Low-Light Handgun Course
This 4-hour handgun training course is designed to familiarize the shooter with the use of both a handheld and weapon mounted light in low-light situations. The shooter will learn various handheld light shooting techniques and how to manipulate a weapon mounted light to effectively engage targets. We will cover how and when to use white light, photonic barriers, weapons manipulations in low-light environments, tactical/empty gun reloads with a handheld light, and discuss the pros and cons of various types of lights. This course is designed for shooters who already have a strong grasp of shooting fundamentals and a thorough understanding of firearms safety.
Prerequisites: Handgun 1 or Military/Law-Enforcement experience

- Pros and cons of different types of lights
- Different light carry methods
- Pros and cons of carrying a handheld light versus a weapon mounted light
- Harries, Chapman, FBI and other handheld light shooting techniques to engage targets
- Tactical/empty gun reloads with a handheld light
- Efficiently utilizing a weapon mounted light to engage targets
- Creating and avoiding photonic barriers
- Movement and weapon manipulations in low light conditions

Performance Pistol
Performance Pistol Courses:
These courses will be broken down into several different individual 4-hour courses on a rotating schedule. It will consist of a course on vision and aiming, movement (shooting on the move and positional movement), target transitions, and stage planning. This is a performance orientated series of classes designed to enhance the shooters competitive capabilities. This is not for brand new shooters and is designed to build on the fundamentals to develop speed and accuracy in a dynamic environment.
Prerequisites: Handgun 1 or proof of competition experience
